ploT, 2018
Plot is a series of 16 individual grass portraits that explore grass as a colonial tool for claiming space and brings into question lawns, government properties, and institutions. Installed in a grid formation to mimic the gridding and dispersal of land to settlers. Plot continues my interest in the world around me and offers an alternative view to ‘civilized land’ and asks the viewer to consider this history. Toho beads on linen.
